Due to federal budget reductions Community Action Drug Prevention Network’s (CADPN) funding was not renewed. We are sorry to inform you that CADPN has closed as of December 31, 2011. Thankfully the majority of CADPN’s initiatives have been transferred to community partners. CADPN is grateful to our partners for their continued commitment to provide these vital services to our communities.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office will be the lead for this effort. Events usually take place in the months of March and October and are posted one month prior at www.mcrecycles.net or you can look for ads in your local newspapers for more information.
If you need to dispose of your unwanted medication right away there are now two permanent prescription drug drop off sites.
- Salem Police Department – 555 Liberty St. SE
- Keizer Police Department – 930 Chemawa Rd. NE
Community Action will continue to host the Drug Free Workplace web-site for one year. The web-site will be linked to the Salem and Keizer Chambers of Commerce or you can go directly to the website: www.midvalleydfw.org.
