It was so popular that we decided to open a second cohort which still has a couple of slots available for enrollment. The second cohort begins February 23rd, 2007. Call CCIS to find out more or to enroll at 503-585-2491. These classes are only available to Marion County child care providers.Infant/Toddler Specialist Consultation
If you are a child care provider seeking assistance with young children in your program or would like an onsite visit in order to develop strategies on how to work with difficult children, please contact CCIS. This new service is an invaluable resource to all child care providers in Marion County. If you have ever had a difficult child that you had to kick out of your child care, or are contemplating releasing a child from your program now... Wait!!!
This consultation model is here to help you continue to provide a consistent, quality environment that allows you to develop proper skills in young children to make them socially and emotionally available to integrate into your program. Let's all work together to insure that every child has an opportunity for a nurturing, consistent early childhood experience.
Currently, in Marion County we have an Infant/Toddler Consultant that is available to come to your child care center or family child care program and talk with you about concerns that you may have about your child care environment, specific children in your program, and even about building relationships with the parents that have children enrolled in your program. Please call CCIS to find out how to get involved in this service. The best part is... it is free to you!!!!
Yamhill County Cares
Cares is a program administered by CCIS and funded by the Yamhill County Children and Families Commission. To qualify a provider needs to:
- Work directly with children at least 20 hours/week in a registered or certified family child care, licensed center, or full day/full year Head Start program.
- Earn $12.00/hour or less as a provider, or $15.00/hour or less as a director.

Cares gives quarterly wage supplements directly to child care providers in accordance with their Oregon Registry step. The program is developed to create incentives around continued training and education.
If you think that you are interested in pursuing this opportunity, call CCIS at 1-800-289-5533 for more information or for an application. CCIS wants to reward you for your hard work and dedication to children!!
